Cooking Greek Style

Laura has finally joined me and together we are now in the Greek Island of Crete. At the beautiful port-town of Chania, we stay at a cozy pension with a kitchen. In an attempt to save money we run to the supermarkets and shop for groceries. Stopping by the market, we see all the fresh fish but seeing entire heads and guts scares me from buying anything. Laura on the other hand is determined to shop for fish and she goes and buys a baby tuna. "I'll clean it all up, my husband Jesse cleans fish all the time". Only when dinner time rolls along and we actually try to prepare the fish that we realize... OH GOD THERE'S A head attached. After a while of general squirming and squealing I grab the knife and attempt to cut off the head. Enjoy the photos... I guess I should really learn how to prepare fish someday...

I cut off the head. Laura cut off the skin and de-veined it. I cooked it with olive oil, garlic, mushrooms and squash. It was very good.
